
Total Hockey Instruction
This comprehensive program is designed for all players to learn or improve all aspects of their game. Players receive progressive instruction in the important skills and fundamentals of hockey including: skating puck control, shooting, passing, offensive play, defensive play, and conditioning. The class is always divided into 3 small sub-groups each with its own instructor in order to accommodate players at different levels of their development.
Power Skating
This program is designed to teach and develop all the basic skating skills and applies to all ages. All the important skating dynamics are taught including: balance, forward striding, backward striding, crossovers, starting, stopping, and acceleration techniques. Edge control and proper weight transfer is demonstrated and developed in a progressive manner throughout the class.
Tots Pre-School Hockey
Children aged 3 to 6 are introduced to the ice, to hockey, and to basic skating skills in an easy to learn and fun format. Pucks are present for the first class and hockey sticks are carried in all their skating exercises. Full equipment is recommended as the kids should not be apprehensive about falling, and are actually encouraged to fall down and get up, and slide along the ice on their bellies, etc.,. Skating "walkers" are used for the very young and the true beginners and the use of games to stimulate theirlearning is ever present.
Tots Learn To Skate
Children are introduced to skating as an introduction to hockey, figure skating, or simply to skate for fun. Children are taught the basic techniques and fundamentals of skating in a fun and enjoyable format. Only helmets are mandatory, although knee pads are strongly recommended. The classes are divided into sub-groups to accommodate beginners at any stage as well as those who have skated before.
